Crafternoon in good company!

Delighted to have spent a lovely afternoon in good company supporting the Crafternoon charity event in support of MIND @KUKUCoffeeHouse. It isn’t that easy making woven paper stars and hearts – but everyone was up for the challebge and they did so well. 👏👏👏👍

Many thanks to @Kukucoffeehouse for hosting us. 👍

Keep a look out for future workshops being advertised soon. Follow this fb page to be the first to know.

Fabulous Sponsor: Knitty Kitty Digis (https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/Eekers)

Fabulous Sponsor: Knitty Kitty Digis (https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/Eekers)

Good evening,

This weeks entry uses an image from our sponsor Knitty Kitty Digis called “Cupcake Kitty” – (https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/509031703/digi-stamp-instant-download-cupcake?ref=shop_home_active_2).

To start I printed the image 3 times and also cut the flower and leaves and re-sized those and printed 6 times. I then coloured all images using Copic Ciao pens and then decoupaged the images to give some body to them. I cut out some circles in various sizes using orange and brown card.

Once all that was done I cut and layered two squares in brown and orange and added to a white 6 x 6 inch card. I added the various circles and finally added my main Knitty Kitty image followed by the additional flowers and a sentiment – finishing with some sparkly pearls in the corners and on the flowers.

Will you join us in this challenge? As usual the theme is “Anything Goes”. There is a prize of 3 single images to the winner (or one set ) from our sponsor Knitty Kitty Digis. There are so many fun images for sale – and if you are not a cat person some of them feature dogs too!

  • Recipe list:

  • Image:                       Knitty Kitty Digis – Cupcake Kitty

“Knitty Kitties started life as quirky hand-knitted cats made by Annabel to sell at craft fairs. As their popularity grew, Annabel began to design digital images based on her own gang of mischievous pets. The antics of cats Georgez and Berts, along with their long-suffering doggy housemate Holly Poocherson, have inspired digital stamps for you to download, colour, and use for your own projects at home. Patchwork Fish

Patchwork Fish

Pattern from www.patchwork-oasen.dk

On a rainy day – all the entire day! – what is a girl to do? Crafting of course.

On a recent visit to my mum we decided to make a couple of patchwork fish. It’s lovely to just have a full day to sit and finish a small quick project like this one. My mum had picked up the kit on a recent outing to 4 patchwork shops in Jutland, Denmark. The kit included the pattern, pearls and fabric, so it was easy to get started and complete. The display stands were bought in the same shop, but were not included in the kit.

The kit came from Patchwork-Oasen (www.patchwork-oasen.dk)
