SPONSOR THIS WEEK:

Eureka Stamps

The prize this week is 3 digital images from their store.

This week’s card is made with the 1 Corinthians 13 digital image from Eureka Stamps.

I printed out the beautiful verse onto white card and cut it with a heart die. I cut another two slightly larger layered hearts and mounted them together. For the background I cut two square layers in matching lilac/purple colours. I glued the squares to an 8 x 8 white card and added the layered heart on top. To finish off I cut out Carnation Crafts die corners and decoupaged them to give them a bit of lift. The verse is so beautiful on it’s own, but in terms of the words but also the script, that I decided to stop decorating and let the verse speak for itself at centre stage.

This would be a beautiful card for a wedding, engagement, anniversary or for a loved one just to say I love you!

How and when would you use it?

SPONSOR THIS WEEK:

Odd Ball Arts

The prize this week is $10 voucher to spend in their store.

This week’s card is made with the Sweet Sweet Peaches Scones Cake Muffin Cobbler Desserts  digital images from Odd Ball Art

I printed off the whole collection in minuture size and cut and coloured them. Then I took the the muffin and printed that out in a bigger size, cut it out, coloured and decoupaged it to give it a bit of a lift. All colorouring was done with Copic Ciao pens. I cut a turquise frame and added an embossed background in white and glued it onto a 6 x 6 inch white card. Then I layered up all my coloured pieces to end up with a huge array of cakes and treats – fit for any birthday boy or girl!!!

A very fun set of images to play with – and only your imagination can stop the colour choice. What colours would you choose?

SPONSOR THIS WEEK:

Ikes Art

The prize this week is a $10 voucher for their store.

This week’s cards were made with the Flower Square digital images from Ikes Art.

For some reason this image really spoke to an afternoon of printing the image off in a number of variations and then sitting down with my copic ciao’s and calmly spend a few mindfull hours of coloring in. The first image was coloured a few times using soft pinks and greens and then cutting up one layer in order to be able to decoupage the flowers to create a bit of interest in the card. The other card was simply coloured in and adorned with a few gems.

Which one do you like best?

SPONSOR THIS WEEK:

The Paper Shelter

The prize this week is 3 digital images from their store.

This week’s card is made with the ON AIR! digital images from The Paper Shelter.

At it’s simplest form the images can just be printed and layered. I decided to step it up just a notch, but still keep it simple. I re-sized the images to fit a 6 x 6 card and then printed up multiple copies of each image enabling me to cut out and decoupage the layers to make it look really 3D.

I mounted the layers onto two matching pieces of card-stock and added a peel-off sentiment and a few decorative flat-back pearls.

What I love about The Paper Shelter products is that I can make a very quick and simple card – which still looks great – and it can be thin if it need to stay within the cheap postage bracket. However, if I want to go to town with multiple layers, or added different backgrounds and colour myself – I can do this too. The products are so versatile and let’s not forget how lovely the designs are too.

Are you a Paper Shelter fan too?

SPONSOR THIS WEEK:

Jan’s Digital Stamps

The prize this week is $10 voucher for their store.

This week’s card is made with the wreath image which is part of the set of images called  Over the River

Since Christmas is coming up – I thought I would make a decoration instead of a card. So using a Tonic Studio box die I die cut the box/bauble. I then re-sized thd digital image to fit the square on the box. I mounted on gold card. I die-cut the other bits too and added them to the box before putting the box/bauble together. Finishing touch was a black blow. I played with the idea of coloring in the images, but decided I liked the black, gold and white look, so kept it blank. I like final the result. What do you think?
